The Sleepy Computer

What is the big difference between putting your computer in sleep, hibernate, and hybrid sleep? Sleep mode is power saving that allows a computer to restore full-power operations quickly. Sleep puts your work and settings in memory and draws a small amount of power. Hibernating a computer saves its current state to the hard disk while the computer is shut down. Hibernation uses the LEAST amount of power in all of the power-saving states.  Reducing your energy bill could be as easy as switching your computer to hibernate mode while it is not in use. Hybrid Sleep is the last power-saving setting and it is primarily used for desktops. Hybrid Sleep combines sleep and hibernate by puts open documents and programs in memory and on your hard disk then puts your computer into a low-power state. Hybrid Sleep is typically the default setting on most desktops.
